Information for Participants and Presenters

Venues
All the talks are to be held in Sala Poseidon at Atlantis Bay Hotel.
The conference will open on Monday (20th June) morning at 8:45 am.

Poster Sessions
The poster session will be held between 5:30 pm and 7:00 pm on Tuesday June 21st and between 4:45 pm and 6:45 pm on Wednesday June 22nd in Sala Poseidon on the first floor. (Posters may be set up on Tuesday and Wednesday at Lunch Breaks).

Poster Presentations
Poster should be A0 in size, that is, no larger than 85 cm wide by 120 cm tall. Suitable materials, such as adhesive tapes/pins, for affixings your poster to the poster boards will be provided.

Lecture theatre facilities
  • Blackboards
  • Overhead projectors
  • Video projectors
  • Lap-top with Operating System windows XP/2000 (for format presentations compliant with win32 O.S.)
  • Desktops PC for Internet
  • Other multimedia equipment
Computing
Internet access will be available for conference participants in room 101 (same room organizing secretariat). Both telnet applications and Netscape/Internet Explorer will be available.

Registration Desk
A registration/help desk will be operating during the Conference located at the first floor in room 101 and will be operating from 8 am until talks conclude each day.

Social Events
The Wellcome Reception is to be held at the Atlantis Bay Terrace on Sunday June 19th from 7:00 pm.

The Conference Dinner is to be held at Atlantis Bay Sea Restaurant on the large and evocative terrace overlooking the bay, on Wednesday, 22th June starting at 8:30 pm.

The half day tours to Taormina and Mount Etna scheduled on Thursday June 23rd we'll leave at 3:00 p.m. from the cableway terminal in Taormina mare.

Lunches and Restaurants
While morning and afternoon coffees and teas are provided by the conference, lunches are not provided. However, there are many options when choosing a place to eat. Please see conference management at the registration desk for further information.
